Abbott loses bid to halt generic LIBERTYVILLE TOWNSHIP - Abbott Laboratories lost its challenge to a generic-drug company’s proposed immediate-release version of the antibiotic drug Biaxin. Canada’s Supreme Court Thursday dismissed without explanation the company’s claim that Ratiopharm GmbH’s version of the drug infringed its patent.
